Here the car was restored by a MG fan and hobbyist. I found it all quite fascinating, and Peter very patient, putting up with my mistakes and endless questions. Its crankshaft journals are small and therefore their life is not long. Because of the nature of these little cars, they are a convertible and as such have often been used in wet conditions; ingress of water through open top motoring or just leaks can often lead to constantly wet carpets and thus over time, rusting floors and sills. All other Sprites and Midgets fit somewhere in between these two price points, with older cars generally more valuable than newer examples. Similarly, rear wheelarches and lower rear wings often rust, while tatty outer rear wheelarches suggest inner arches that are much worse. MG ADO16

Recent work has included new brak The overall car width remained the same resulting in narrower running boards with two tread strips as opposed to the previous three. There was talk of a modified Austin Healey with different engines and the possibilities of a new joint model badge engineered, but based on the MGB.
